1、 Research initiated by the 20th century food crisis (a heavy topic of the last century)
Mr. Brown, an American agricultural expert and director of the Worldwatch Institute, announced his research results to the world in 1995 after years of research and investigation. He believed that 'in the 21st century, the world will enter a century of hunger...' One stone stirred up a thousand waves, and people were joyfully entering the 21st century. Just as people were beautifying the blueprint for the 21st century, Mr. Brown's alarm immediately disrupted people's beautiful plans for the 21st century. People woke up in confusion, realizing that hunger still exists in humanity. And hunger, like earthquakes and floods, is so ruthless and irresistible that it has quietly come to people's side. He will become the biggest disaster for humanity in the 21st century, a decisive factor affecting the development of humanity in the 21st century. Only by solving the problem of food can humanity talk about other things. So in the dawn of the new century, hunger has increasingly become a heavy topic of concern worldwide.
What did people eat in the 21st century? Becoming the focus of global attention. Mr. Yan Guangcai and his assistant, after more than 30 years of hard work, have made breakthrough progress in researching plant nutrition and the application of leaf protein. Leaf protein is a nutrient in plant leaves and stems. It is the precursor of animal protein and plant seed protein, and is the primary protein; Seed protein is the second protein; Animal protein is the third protein. Leaf protein is a cholesterol free protein with strong activity, which has a wide range of effects on the growth and development of humans and animals.
2、 Plant leaf protein nutrition will become the main goal pursued by humans in the 21st century
The food crisis in the 21st century is irreversible, and leaf protein is the protein in plant leaves and stems. The resources of plant leaves and stems are very extensive, including forests, grasslands, and agriculture, which are 8-10 times the nutritional source of seeds and widely exist in nature. The resources are very rich and are a treasure trove of human nutrition.
Human research on leaf proteins has a history of over 60 years. It originated in Britain. At the end of the Second World War, in order to prevent hunger, the British began to study leaf protein, which has not been widely used. There are two main reasons: firstly, the contradiction between population size and food shortage is not yet so serious, which cannot attract people's attention; Second, the application of leaf protein by the British is local and has not developed into a systematic application. After more than 30 years of exploration, we have found that the application of leaf protein is comprehensive and systematic, not only in animal feed, but also in food and medicine consumed by humans. It is crucial for human health.
Our application of leaf protein is different from that of foreigners. There are few varieties of leaf protein produced by foreigners, which can only be used in feed. They believe that tobacco leaves are rich in protein, so many foreign production plants use tobacco leaves as the main raw material for processing leaf protein. However, this type of leaf protein has a peculiar odor and can only be used as feed. Moreover, it comes at a high cost and is difficult to apply in practice. We not only apply leaf protein based on the perspective of nutrition, but also according to the theory of the Five Elements in traditional Chinese medicine, which can make use of various green resources and produce high-quality leaf protein. For example, we believe that eight types of extracted leaf proteins, including wheat leaves, rye grass, and alfalfa grass, are the best leaf proteins. Soybean seedlings, bamboo grass and other leaf proteins are secondary leaf proteins. These leaf proteins can be used in feed for calves, lambs, piglets, chicks, and fish, as well as in human food. They can also be used in combination with each other and are widely used in medicine.
The development of leaf protein has expanded the application scope of various green plants, widely using grass that can only be used in herbivorous animal feed in various animal feed, as well as in food and disease treatment.
The application of leaf protein has triggered mutations in multiple industries, leading to the emergence of a second agricultural system - stem leaf agriculture, such as the soybean seedling agriculture system; The emergence of the second forestry system in forestry - stem and leaf forestry; Causing a revolution in the livestock industry; Causing a qualitative change in the food industry; Ecological governance has resulted in beneficial ecological outcomes.
At the arrival of the 21st century, the shortage of food will force humans to seek new sources of nutrition. Green plant resources are abundant, and leaf protein has a wide range of applications. Therefore, green plant leaf protein will become the most important goal for humans to pursue nutrition in the 21st century.
3、 Production and Application of Leaf Protein
(1) Production process of leaf protein
"Leaf protein" was named by the British because of its high protein content, which can reach 50-70%. Later, France, the Soviet Union, Britain, Germany and other countries in Europe all produced this product as raw material for feed. Currently, France is the best country for producing leaf protein, with advanced and reliable production equipment and good product quality.
The accurate name for the product "leaf protein" should be "refined leaf green powder". Its production process is as follows:
Green plant stems and leaves → cleaning → chopping → kneading → pulping → primary filtration → secondary filtration → pressing → drying → granulation → drying → packaging.
Its main production process is to mash the stems and leaves of green plants, filter, press and extract the essence, and then dry it to obtain the finished product. The grass residue produced after pressing is further processed into feed for herbivorous animals. Leaf protein accounts for only 3-5% of the production raw materials, while grass residue accounts for 20-22%.
Taking the processing of leaf protein from the largest pest grass in the south, Baimao, as an example: using large-scale automated leaf protein processing equipment imported from abroad, this equipment can process 500 tons of fresh grass per day, producing 25 tons of leaf protein and 100 tons of dry hay residue from Baimao. These 100 tons of grass residue are excellent feed for herbivorous animals, accounting for 75-80% of the feed formula. The processed leaf protein of Bambusa is harvested 3-4 times a year. The first crop of processed leaf protein is advanced nutrition for human use, and the subsequent crop of processed leaf protein is advanced additive used in animal feed.
(2) Plants that can be used to process leaf protein
At present, there are about 300 commonly used plants for processing leaf protein, which can be classified into four levels: special grade, first grade, second grade, and third grade according to their varieties. According to usage, it can be divided into three types: edible, feed, and medical. Some examples are shown in the table below.
