On January 18, 2025, Sichuan JianQuan Environment Group Co., Ltd. held a significant promotion and lecture on desert governance projects. The conference was chaired by the company's chairman Liu Xianqing, and Dr. Yan Guangcai, the group's chief expert, served as the keynote speaker. He provided a detailed introduction to the series of desert governance technologies and the Saudi Arabian desert governance project, which attracted widespread attention from major media outlets.

Dr. Yan Guangcai systematically elaborated on the desert governance technology of a sound environmental group at the meeting, which has significant differences from traditional desert governance technology. From the perspective of governance philosophy and goals, the Healthy Environment Group is committed to comprehensively eliminating deserts within China. It not only aims to transform deserts into oases, but also plans to transform eligible deserts into fertile land, achieving governance from the edge of the desert to the depth. In terms of methods, establishing a professional desert management team and adopting fully mechanized operations can improve efficiency by dozens of times compared to manual and semi manual management, and the quality of management is also better. According to the plan, it is expected to complete the governance of 12 deserts in China within 6 years, which can add 300 million mu of fertile land and a net increase of 165 million tons of grain. After treatment, the desert farmland will be cultivated according to high-quality ecological agricultural standards, abandoning chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and relying on independently developed ecological fertilizers and electric, magnetic, acoustic, and wave technologies to ensure crop growth and produce high-quality agricultural products in their original ecological state. In addition, welfare facilities such as towns and schools will be built in combination with the natural conditions of the desert, creating various characteristic landscapes and leisure sports venues to bring new vitality to the desert.

At the special lecture on desert governance, Dr. Yan Guangcai also explained the relevant work of Saudi Arabia's desert governance project: Currently, there are two major deserts in Saudi Arabia, the "Nefude Desert" and the "Rubhali Desert", with a total area of about 1.1 million square kilometers. This project is an external desert governance aid project invited by Arab countries and approved by relevant departments in China. It mainly adopts a series of technologies such as the desert windproof barrier system, desert windproof forest system, desert water supply system, desert water storage system, tall sand dune governance system, and desert farmland transformation system developed by the Sound Environment Group for desert governance. The core team of the project is established by the Sound Environment Group, with Dr. Yan Guangcai as the chief engineer. Together with personnel dispatched by Saudi Arabia, a desert management team of about 20000 people is planned to eliminate all deserts in Saudi Arabia within 6-8 years.

Dr. Yan Guangcai has a profound research accumulation in the field of desert governance. Since 1966, he has continued his mentor's research on topics such as "Food Crisis" and "Green Business", which has lasted for 71 years. He founded the International Green Global Research and Development Organization and served as the leader of the expert group. The organization brings together 536 renowned experts from 26 countries and has achieved 126 research results in multiple fields. Dr. Yan Guangcai personally led a research team to conduct in-depth investigations of China's eight major deserts and four major sandy areas over a period of 13 years, and summarized 48 desert management challenges that were overcome one by one.

Previously, Dr. Yan Guangcai had achieved many results in desert management. 20 years ago, he successfully transformed 140000 acres of desert into an oasis in Hangjinhou Banner, Inner Mongolia, and established the "China Hanghou Desert Governance International Demonstration Base". He successfully managed 83 meter high mobile sand dunes and won international acclaim. He also doubled the national agricultural and livestock production in North Korea within two years with his unique agricultural and livestock technology, and was awarded the First Class Medal of the Workers' Party of Korea. He also provided humanitarian technical assistance to multiple countries, receiving widespread praise from the international community.
